So, we got scabies from my friends family

Thank you for your website, first of all! So, my friend and her family were just diagnosed with scabies. They chose to use the permethrin. Since, we only have mild symptoms (few bumps) we chose to go the neem route (and because I don't want to poison my family).

I bought some neem seed oil and some tea tree oil. I add a few drops of each to some lotion each time I apply. I have been doing this to my kids, too. I have washed all of our bedding and applied some powdered stuff that my friend gave me to put on the carpets, mattresses and couches. We have been applying the neem/tea tree lotion at night and sleeping with it on and showering in the morning.

Is it enough to apply the neem once a day (at night) for 10 days, or should we apply it in the morning, too? I will try and get some neem soap this weekend, also. We don't have a bathtub to soak in, so I thought just scrubbing really good would have to do. I just want to make sure I do it right to prevent re-infestation.
